I will recommend to buy a smart charger but that is just luxury as I told before just keep an eye on the battery and be sure is not getting warm when charging it, also charge it the first time for 6 hours and every other time charge it 4 hours so please trust me and forget what the manual sais about charging for 12 hours. This airsoft rifle is nice to be a "beginner" kit on which comes with a basic 8.4 voltz battery and a charger wich if you forget your battery is charging it will overcharge it but if you take care of that point everything else is going to be fine. Overall this is definetly a great beginner weapon for those who are on a lower budget or are looking to stay away from the M4/M16/AK fray.Pros:"Ready to skirmish" setEasy disassemblyGood FPS (for field limits)Acceptable RoFGenrally reliableCons:NOT CQB readyDifficult to read manualHad a few Problems with the gun's build quality The CYMA M14 shoots 390 to 410 fps and has a rate of fire of about 15 BB's per second, that's about on par with most M4/M16/AK rifles. The imitation heatshield is also plastic. The body is constructed out of an ABS Polymer (that's a fancy way of saying really strong plastic) and has a steel buttpad and sling mounts. The receiver of this gun allong with the barrel and both sights are made of steel. After being fixed, it has presented no problem for me. 1) The charging hangle guide rod snapped off, making the charging handle unable to be cocked (though there is no real use for it anyways) and 2) The imitation gas tube lost it's set screw the first night I used this, it turns out that this was easily fixable and probably not a problem with the gun. Included was the gun itself, 1x 350 round high capacity box magazine (meant to resemble an M14 20 round magazine), a cheap sling (I generally do not recommend using this due to its poor design of the clasps), an 8.4v 1600mah battery that will last all day, a "trickle" charger that will charge your battery in 4-6 hours, an unjamming/cleaning rod, and an instruction manual.
